As of today, I no longer have braces. I was psyched to get them off. The orthodontist was a brute, though. First he nearly yanked off the brackets, and later he took a drill to my teeth to get rid of the extra glue. It was a mildly horrible experience.

I have a wire on the back of my bottom teeth to serve as my retainer, and a removable plastic one on top. However, the one on top is temporary until I get my front tooth fixed, then I'm getting a wire glued there too. The plastic retainer hurts to take off and put back on, and it makes me talk funny sometimes. So I guess I'm no less nerdy than I was when I had the braces. xD
